PRAYER

just do it “Mankind, when left to themselves, are unfit for their own government“ George Washington Because the majority of us were raised up in public school, few know the truth of the kind of man George Washington was. What’s so astoundingly important to know is, it wasn’t because he was some fabulously brilliant general. It’s just he knew where to look for guidance. I suppose that in itself makes him brilliant. In any case, this nation was only able to defeat the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful empire because one man, one general prayed. He called Him Providence. Rightly so. Washington’s soldiers overcame unbeatable odds all because their general was found on his knees, crying out to God for wisdom and instruction on the battlefield. An excerpt from a biography on Washington reads this fearful predicament facing the general and his men as they are challenged with the task of removing British troops from Boston Harbor: “Israel Putnam shook his head, its quite a gamble, first we have to build a fort on top of Dorchester Heights without the British noticing us. Then we have to man it with soldiers who do not even have a musket apiece when the redcoats storm the hill.” The story goes on to say the two decided on a plan that included scurrying thousands of soldiers, carts and horses over to Dorchester Heights and then cannons were to be brought up from Fort Ticonderoga- all without the British knowing. Everything was going according to plan, they surprised the British in the morning and as expected- the enemy troops were rallying against the Continental Army. What wasn’t expected was while the British marshaled their troops for attack, a vicious storm blew in. Rain pelted down, the wind churned up the waters in the harbor and the boats that had been gathered were now scattered all over. Once the storm subsided Washington stood in amazement as he watched William Howe and his troops were now preparing to abandon the city of Boston. All because one man prayed, and Providence intervened. The only reason we are sipping coffee instead of tea today is one man got on his knees and labored in prayer for wisdom. Conversely- Because of one man we now deem poison and witchcraft (pharmaceuticals- root word for witchcraft is pharmakeia) as true medicine and plants, essential oils, and food as alternative.

In the early 1900s, America’s first Billionaire, John D. Rockefeller bought a German pharmaceutical company that would later assist Hitler to implement his eugenics-based vision by manufacturing chemicals and poisons for war. Rockefeller wanted to eliminate the competitors of Western medicine, so he submitted a report to Congress declaring that there were too many doctors and medical schools in America, and that all natural healing modalities were unscientific quackery. Let’s pause- do you see what just happened? Rockefeller convinced Congress- one guy... Rockefeller called for the standardization of medical education, whereby only his organization be allowed to grant medical school licenses in the US. This is the part of the story where America begins the practice of immune suppressive, synthetic and toxic drugs. Once people had become dependent on this new system and the addictive drugs it provided, the system switched to a paid program, creating lifelong customers for the Rockefellers. Mr. Rockafeller sure had some influence. One man saved the nation through prayer. One man tried to destroy it through greed and influence. My point- you want to see good, right, just change? Get off your butt and get on your knees. It works. Oh I promise you, prayer works. Messiah Jesus, before He went to the cross told His disciples “ask Me anything and I will do it”, SEVEN times. More than any other last minute instructions, He told them to talk to Him. To ask for anything. It’s kind of a thing. Mr. Washington knew the power of prayer and he wielded that power frequently with fantastic results. People of Almighty Providence, I suggest we go and do likewise.
