Nature's Ultra CBD

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis (hemp) plant with enormous therapeutic potential. Unlike the Tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC) strain of marijuana, CBD oil does not produce any psychoactive effects. In order to extract CBD oil from the cannabis plant, producers isolate the CBD from the THC to ensure that the oil will not be psychoactive.

CBD works on the basis of something called the endocannabinoid system. This body system exists in all humans and is an integral part of our neuro-immuno-endocrine network. Scientists made the discovery of our endocannabinoid system only in recent years — we did not always know of its existence.

Essentially, the the endocannabinoid system is a network of neurons and synapses throughout your body and brain. These emit and respond well to cannabinoids — a chemical that the hemp plant produces and, yes, a chemical our own bodies produce!

So, while our bodies produce their own cannabinoids—endocannabinoids—primarily anandamide, and 2-AG (2-arachidonoylglycerol).... a “phytocannabinoid” or plant-derived cannabinoid like CBD or THC can activate the same receptors in the body and have similar or stronger effects than our own endocannabinoids. This is similar to how morphine derived from the poppy plant can reduce pain by activating the body’s endorphin receptors.

CBD works because the cannabinoids it contains bind with the endocannabinoid system (CB1 and CB2 receptors) to create a fully functioning network of neurons in your body. That’s why our bodies respond so well to CBD when we provide it with extra cannabinoids — these chemicals occur naturally in our own bodies!

To answer this, we need to take a step back to address the endocannabinoid system, a system within the body whose receptors (CB1 and CB2) have an enormous impact on our health and well-being.

-CB1 receptors in the brain are associated with emotions, mood, appetite, coordination, movement, and pain.

-CB2 receptors are found in the immune system and throughout tissues of the spleen and tonsils.

The endocannabinoid system is a relatively new discovery. Seeing as cannabinoids are the compounds that activate this system, many have posited that cannabinoids like THC or CBD could help improve endocannabinoid function.

There are so many incredible uses for CBD oil! Take some time and explore the options you find as you independently research this one a it further.

CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are similar in that they’re both cannabinoids that interact with the cannabinoid receptors of the endocannabinoid system. However, their similarities just about stop there.

-THC is the cannabinoid that directly activates that CB1 receptor to elicit a euphoric side effect.

-CBD, on the other hand, is considered an indirect antagonist of the CB1 receptor because it blocks it from linking with other compounds.

Not only is CBD non-psychoactive itself, but also it counteracts the euphoric effects of CB1 agonists like THC.

The two compounds aren’t opponents, however. While THC directly activates the cannabinoid receptors and CBD indirectly interacts with them, together, along with other cannabinoids and natural constituents found in pure hemp oil, they work together in what’s referred to as the “entourage effect” to provide therapeutic effects.

No. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid that makes you high; CBD does not have any psychoactive properties.

- CBD exhibits no effects on humans indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.

- To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.

- Chronic use and high doses up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD are reportedly well tolerated in humans.

The ultimate guide to CBD products

(and why you need each one in your supply)

Who is Nature’s Ultra, and where does Nature's Ultra come from?

Nature’s Ultra gets their CBD from farms in Colorado that are dedicated to sustainable farming practices. They don’t use any pesticides, and they rigorously test each product to ensure it’s free of heavy metals. To avoid adding harsh chemicals to their products, Nature’s Ultra uses food-grade carbon dioxide to extract CBD from hemp plants.

Yes! Nature’s Ultra is a wholly owned partner, meaning we own the company, but it still operates independently. That means when you shop their products, Nature’s Ultra—not Young Living—fulfills and ships your order. They’re also the ones to turn to when you have questions about CBD products.

One of the factors that motivated the acquisition of Nature’s Ultra is that we recognized they share many of the same values as we do. They even share our Seed to Seal® commitment to quality, which we’ve verified through visits to their farms. Nature’s Ultra and Young Living are a match made in health! Like Peppermint and productivity or Frankincense and meditation, we are better together.

As you already know, we take special care to use only the highest-quality ingredients. Mirroring our own commitment, Nature’s Ultra uses only the finest, purest CBD. Most of Nature’s Ultra’s CBD products contain CBD isolate, organic stevia leaf extract, MCT coconut oil, and Young Living essential oils.
